Daily Calming Moisturizer with SPF 30
Good daytime moisturizer
I recently moved to Vegas and began using a moisturizer with chemical sunscreen since I thought the SPF in my makeup was not cutting it for the amount of sunshine here. I started experiencing breakouts (which is not typical for me). After some research on the internet, I decided to switch to a mineral sunscreen as I found that minerals like Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide are not absorbed into the skin and act like a physical barrier to UVA/UVB rays so they are good for sensitive skin and not likely to cause breakouts.
In my own use with this product I did find it hard to apply at first as some others have said. The first few times it left a white film on my skin. But since chemical sunscreens cause me to breakout, I stuck with it, and it becomes easier to apply over time once you get used to the difference. I've found that a little product goes a long way and that squeezing a small amount on your fingers and taking small amounts at a time with the other hand works well. When this ran out, I switched to the Yes to Blueberries with SPF 30 because I wanted the additional anti-aging benefits of anti-oxidants, but neither have caused breakouts, have provided great sun protection and have made my skin is much softer!

The cream is thick, so you have to keep rubbing your face till the cream disappears.
I'm going to break this review down into two categories, the pros and the cons.
I'll start with the pros: (1) At least 90% of the ingredients are "all natural." (2) The tube is cute and small, so I can bring it with me when I travel. (3) There's no fragrance. (4) You don't need that much cream, so the whole tube will last you for a long time.
Here are the cons: (1) The cream is so thick that it leaves a white layer on your face. (2) It takes a long time for the cream to disappear on your face, so if you're in a hurry, I don't recommend using this product.
Just to be sure that I wasn't the only one experiencing with the thickness and the difficulty of the cream, I had my nephew try it out too. My nephew tried it and wasn't very pleased with product, because "it made [him] look like a clown."

Does not deliver a smooth film of protection
As a person with very fair skin I was happy to see a product formulated with an SPF of 30 for my face. It was a disappointment when I tried to apply it. It would not spread smoothly over my skin and left large curds of white product. Stronger efforts to spread it met with it staying in place and I had to use a wash cloth to remove it. It is surprising it passed through your dermatologist testing as stated on the packaging.

Lovely scent and consistency
I love this moisturizer. It has a very pleasing scent and absorbs nicely, which makes it a pleasure to apply in the morning. I also love the thick, smooth consistency. The facial lotion I was using previous to this one had a thin consistency that made it feel like you had to put tons on to get any moisture.

NOT a daily moisturizer
Despite the large title "Daily Calming Moisturizer" this is a sunscreen that appears to consist of very little other than zinc oxide. My son has acne problems and needs a -- calming moisturizer that he can use daily. After a few days of using this his acne is 10 times worse. I tried it and found it gritty and of the same consistancy and character as zinc oxide. It is white, hard to spread, leaves a white layer on skin no matter how much you try to rub it in. I can see why his acne is so much worse, he has been rubbing pore clogging zinc oxide into his skin. This is a poorly labeled product that should not be used by anyone with sensative skin!

This product had been featured in a magazine; unfortunately, I do not remember which one. I thought I would try since my normal day creme was out of stock. It came out of the pump light, but felt like it really provided coverage and moisture. I did really have to rub it in so I didn't leave any white residue.
2 hours later, and my skin feels very nice. The only thing that's really worrying me though is nowhere on the package or the site are the words noncomedogenic for this product. I like the feel, but I will not sacrifice noncomedogenic for a "feel". A product can be natural and still clog pores.
I will be returning this week.
