Privacy and Security
When you provide Yes To, Inc. ("Yes To", "we" or "us") with information through yestocarrots.com and m.yestocarrots.com (the "Sites"), we respect your privacy. It is important for you to understand what information we collect about you during your visit and what we do with that information.
Information We May Collect About You
While maintaining our commitment to your privacy, we do collect personally and non-personally identifiable information about you. A detailed description of the types of information collected is outlined below.
Personally identifiable information includes your name, shipping address, billing address, email address and credit card information. We collect this information during the online checkout and email newsletter registration processes so that we can properly fulfill your orders and requests.
Non-personally identifiable information includes your browser type, domain name, IP address and how you maneuvered through the Sites. We collect this information so that we can identify general shopping and navigation patterns so we might better understand how to improve your experience with us.
Collection of Personally Identifiable Information
We do not collect personally identifiable information about you, except when you provide it to us. For example, if you decide to complete a user registration form or online survey, you may be asked to provide certain information such as your contact information (name, email address, mailing address and telephone number), age group, gender and product concerns and the brands and products you use. If you decide to place an order, we will also need to know your delivery and billing address, credit card number and expiration date. To protect your personal information, users registering at the Sites may also be required to enter a user name/email address and password.
We contract with a third party partner (currently, Datapak Services Corporation) to provide online order selection and fulfillment services for Yes To products ("Fulfillment Partner"). All orders for products through these websites will be fulfilled by and through our Fulfillment Partner. By making a purchase through our website, you permit our Fulfillment Partner to provide us with your personally identifiable information after you complete your order.
If you would prefer that we not collect any personally identifiable information from you, please do not provide us with any such information. You will be informed what information is required and what information is optional.
Collection of Non-Personally Identifiable Information
These Sites may use and combine such passively collected anonymous information to provide better service to Site visitors, customize the Sites based on your preferences, compile and analyze statistics and trends and otherwise administer and improve the Sites for your use. Such information is not combined with personally identifiable information collected elsewhere on the Sites unless you have consented.
A "cookie" is a bit of information that a website sends to your Web browser that helps the Sites remember information about you and your preferences.
"Session" cookies are temporary bits of information that are used to improve navigation, block visitors from providing information where inappropriate (the Sites "remembers" previous entries of age or country of origin that were outside the specified parameters and blocks subsequent changes) and collect aggregate statistical information on the Sites. They are erased once you exit your Web browser or otherwise turn off your computer.
"Persistent" cookies are more permanent bits of information that are placed on the hard drive of your computer and stay there unless you delete the cookie. Persistent cookies store information on your computer for a number of purposes, such as retrieving certain information you have previously provided (such as passwords), helping to determine what areas of the website visitors find most valuable and customizing the website based on your preferences on an ongoing basis. Persistent cookies placed by these Sites on your computer may hold personally identifiable information, but only if you have registered or have otherwise consented to the retention of personally identifiable information you have provided at the Sites. Otherwise, our Sites' server only knows that an unidentified visitor with your cookie has returned to the Sites.
You can set your browser to accept all cookies, to reject all cookies, or to notify you whenever a cookie is offered so that you can decide each time whether to accept it. To learn more about cookies and how to specify your preferences, please search for "cookie" in the "Help" portion of your browser.
The Sites may use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider so you can access the Internet and is generally considered to be non-personally identifiable information, because in most cases an IP address is dynamic (changing each time you connect to the Internet), rather than static (unique to a particular user's computer). The IP address can be used to diagnose problems with a server, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for your computer to use in connecting to Sites and administer and improve the Sites.
"Internet tags" (also known as single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs, invisible GIFs and 1-by-1 GIFs) are smaller than cookies and tell the website server information such as the IP address and browser type related to the visitor's computer. Tags may be placed both on online advertisements that bring people to the Sites and on different pages of the Sites. Such tags indicate how many times a page is opened and which information is consulted.
"Navigational data" (log files, server logs and clickstream data) are used for system management, to improve the content of the Sites, market research purposes and to communicate information to visitors.
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We implement various security measures in accordance with industry standards to protect the security of your personal information. These Sites takes reasonable steps to protect personally identifiable information as you transmit it to our Sites and to protect such information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You should always keep in mind that no Internet transmission is ever completely secure or error-free. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
